Our client, a very well established main dealer are current recruiting for a SERVICE ADVISOR. Our client has an excellent reputation for customer service, having won a number of manufacturer awards and its site is is one of the largest in the UK for the brands they represent.

The ideal candidate must have previous service advisor experience in the motor trade, and must also have the potential to progress to Workshop Manager level within several years. 

Other key attributes required are: - 

  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with customers about service and repair work required on their vehicle 
  • The ability to understand and deliver excellent customer experience 
  • The ability to upsell on service work and service plans 
  • Familiarity with motor trade dealer management and database software 
  • Familiarity with warranty work and manufacturer requirements 
  • The ability to work as part of a team, as well as with own initiative

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the role, with an attention for detail and have the ability to consistently work to high standards. 

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30 pm with 1 hour lunch, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30 to 12:00 Holidays: 22 days per annum plus bank holidays, with additional holidays based on length of service. 

Basic Salary: £22,000 - £25,500 depending on skills and experience. Bonus on Labour Sales, CSI and add on sales equating to a realistic £3,000 - £4000 per annum.
